Narayangadh Round Table-14 had successfully organized ”Free Multidisciplinary School Health Camp” project under the banner of Round Table Nepal at government school named Shree Adharbhut Vidhyalaya at Mohanpur ,Chitwan on 7th March, 2024 Thursday at 9 am. Tr Kevin Agrawal from National board Project Team and Secretary of CRT-31 too attended the formal program. School Health Camp is community based services project which gave medical help to 300 school children with a total expense of Rs 6975. Health Camp had included Dental, ENT, EYE, Pediatric and Community Medicine specialists. Health camp was supported by College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur .There were 20 member team where 12 Doctor, 4 nurses and 4 support staff from College of Medical Sciences had gave voluntary service to the health camp. College of Medical Sciences also supported the camp with medical equipment and helped in transportation of doctor in free of cost. Student from school had gave voluntary support and help in the camp Objective of School Health Camp project was • Health Education • Health Promotion among school students and teachers • Screening of Disease • Treatment, Management and Referral Services provided to the Student were: • All Students were screened for any medical condition by all respective departments. • It was found that most of the Students were infected with chicken pox, ear infection, impacted wax, cough and cold and dental caries were diagnosed and consultation was done by respective faculties. •It was astounding to find many children below class 6 were having refractive error in their eyes and required spectacle. • Health education regarding personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene and healthy habits were given to students in small groups. • Student needing further evaluation and management were referred to COMS and will be provided with 20% discount on treatment. All the parents accompanying children and school management thanked Round Table Nepal for organizing the free health camp. Tr Kevin Agrawal from National board Project Team had appreciated event and its motive. Tr Kevin Agrawal encourages Nrt-14 to organize such events again in near future and promise to help and support NRT-14 in possible ways. Health camp has been closed with distribution of token of love to School Management and College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur. Certificates of appreciation were distributed to all the doctors and nurses by Tr Dr. Sandeep Garg (Chairman, NRT-14).
